It does get better, but you have to get yourself out of that situation first.
My ex-fiance was emotionally and mentally abusive. He never ever laid a hand on me, but he was convinced I cheated, to this day he still thinks I cheated. He talked sh*t about my dad, and hated when I was around them...he tried to get me stop hanging out with my girls. He called me a selfish b*tch on occasion...and basically, he lied to me so many times I lost count.
