Can we get some opinions on this? - Comments

Well, I listened to both songs. I don't think they ripped the song off, sure, the songs have similar themes but that's it. I didn't see the copying part on it...Also, a lot of bands and singers use the same title for songs. As well as album names, look at Patd's and Art of Dying album names.

The article that I read pretty much said that ATL had no idea, and BTR probably got the go ahead from someone on their management team.
If someone gets sued, it won't be BTR, but their management or Sony/Nickelodeon.

It's not a cover, because they didn't keep the same lyrics. They kind of did their own thing with it. I imagine they're not completely stupid, so they probably talked to ATL or someone pretty high up with them and came to an agreement. If not, then goddamn, people are becoming stupider every day.

I think it was a mistake. I love both bands but I don't even think BTR writes there own music do they?

Idk maybe ATL and BTR have the same producers? Maybe it's a cover? Maybe someone else made the mistake and BTR just sang what they were supposed to...

Has no one ever heard of "covers" and "versions" of songs? Singers like to at times take another artist song and sing it themselves and mix a few words around. Like the song "Marvins Room" by Drake. People like Jojo covered and song an changed the lyrics around to fit them.

Yeah, man. if the song was leaked, there's no way of knowing it's the real deal. I'd just cool muh jets, and wait for the actual song to come out. If it's like that when it comes out, then yeah, we gonna riot.

Sounds like a rip off to me.
