charlie's hunting their to eager for the MONEY! and getting published too

Brianna Marie yup, YA has become huge and most of them aren't that great. There good but not great. I agree with the most people who can actually write aren't published, I have found some amazing stories that are beauifully written that are original.

Originality, hmm, I wonder if anyone knows that word anymore.

I agree that the quality of books of gone down greatly. It seems as thought it's mostly the adult books are finely written while the books that are appropriate for us are just terribly written. But I think that more people who can actually write well, don't publish. I only say that because of the amazing authors on here who haven't published anything.

I totally agree with you. I feel like authors don't spend enough time on their plot and stories, because they are too preoccupied with getting it finished and published. They don't check their spelling, grammar, and other little mistakes, either. Authors are too eager to compete with one another these days.

saint mungo. true, so true. Vampires are so big now, I got to admit I like to read about vampires but after awhile it gets annoying. Like love triangles are.

eight letter late. I went to my library and on the new stand was a Pirates of the Caribbean. I was, like, you got a to be kidding me. WHEN YOU DO TELL ME!

silk tea Same with me! It's hard to find a book that you practically have to rip yourself away from, your glued to it, its so good. I actually found a few.

paper trees It's scary, and will be interesting to see in a way.

Most definitely understand. It makes me wonder what will be the "classic" literature of our age. You know, what our kids' kids will study in school... D:

Basically. Like, some of the books I end up reading just because it entertains me, but that does not mean it's good at all lol. But I read this book and was just so disturbed by how bad it was that I could not continue for the life of me.

YES. I go to the library, and I honestly have to search for at least thirty minutes before I find something that interests me enough. It's awful. I'm running out of quality books to read. GUESS I'LL JUST HAVE TO WRITE MY OWN LIKE A BOSS.

I get what you're saying about the quality in books thing. Honestly, I've read some books that were riddled with mistakes, had horrible plotlines, and were just utterly bad, and I always wondered how in the world the author managed to get that book published. Then, I realized that the book was some poor attempt at having a unique vampire related plotline, so I'm assuming whoever published that poorly written book, was hoping that the book would be the next Twilight.
