I do get a lot of weird stares, I live in an Islamic country where rock is limited

I bought the shirts in Indonesia since they are basically everywhere

Yeah people think only the older ones listen to rock and metal

I'm turning 13 this December and yes I do listen to songs that are not on the radio

It was funny because I had my guitar lesson after that, my teacher Milos liked my shirt and cap, and after doing a month of guitar he said I have potential and should do exams

Then when we were driving back my dad turned on the radio and the song that was playing was 'Like a G6' and he said

"What the hell is this shit?"

I said

"It's what people consider music today

What the hell happened to good old drums, bass and guitars?

Nope, I wear band shirts and they're like any other shirt I wear. Someone did tell me they liked my Rockfest shirt though a few years ago.

I don't wear band shirts anymore. I usually dress...different. My style is undiscribable. But I always have my headphones blasted and people see that I'm listening to something that has alot of drums and guitar.

They're like, "You're spanish, you're supposed to be listening to R&B, rap, hip hop, and regeaton.

I'm like, "I'm Lily, I can listen to whatever the hell I want to."

I hate that nowadays music has a color and a sex. I mean, please. I can listen to whatever. You listen to whatever. If I like You Me At Six, I'm gonna listen to them. If I like Fefe Dobson, I will listen to her. If I like Duffy, I will listen to her.

I know my music style is a bit of alot of things, but I really like rock and no one can tell me I should listen to something I'm not feeling. Good for you for sticking up for yourself. I'm glad you didn't name kiddy bands.

No, not a lot of people notice the band t-shirts I wear, I would probably get strange if I wore a Cannibal Corpse T-shirt, because they're known to be a rather controversial metal band.
Good for you for sticking up for yourself against that old man and the rock musician list probably stumped him good and proper. I'd totally try that on anyone who tried to tell me the Metal music I listen to is just to get guys, I've been listening to Metal since I was 13 and my boyfriend is a metal head too (He saw Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax & Megadeth at Sonisphere which is like a once in a lifetime opportunity)

Not quite! I do get stared at alot though for the band tshirts I wear. I don't care. I like Bullet For My Valentine, A7X, MCR and everything in between. I listen to so much music, that I don't care what people think. Yea, did many boys give me attention the last time I wore my BFMV tshirt, yea but so? We share the same like in the same band.
