Harry Potter vs Twilight - Comments

I, myself, am all for Harry Potter. There are too many plot holes in Twilight - and they don't even properly describe the characters, aside from Edward.

If I were to list all of my favorite characters, I'd run out of room. :)

I grew up with Harry Potter - I remember listening as my sister read me the stories. I remember being there with Harry at Hogwarts.
I remember searching for the Philsopher's Stone,
saving Ginny from the Basilisk,
saving Buckbeak from death and Sirius from Dementors,
having to go through the fear of the three TriWizard challenges and having to see Cedric die and Voldemort return,
joining the Order of the Pheonix and watching the Weasley twins fly away and set their dreams in motion and Sirius being killed (along with getting Umbridge sacked!),
being there when Draco was told to kill Dumbledore (and fighting back tears when Snape finally did),
and finally being there when Harry, Ron and Hermione were searching for Horcruxes and so many people died.
I remember being there, at Hogwarts, for the final battle.
I remember fighting Voldemort with Harry, I remember seeing into Voldemort's mind.
I remember being there, from the very begining (Mr. and Mrs. Dursley, of number four, Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much.) to the very end (The scar had not pained Harry for nineteen years. All was well.)

i like harry potter best. i like the story line better because there isnt one girl causing trouble for two helpless guys who drool over her. the characters are easier to relate with (aside from the magic powers thing). the story is just better (in my opinion anyway).
while twilight has some hot guys (i like the guy who plays james in the first twilight movie just saying..) i like the vampires suck version better.

Harry Potter, all of them, they all play an amazing roll.
Uhm... idk I just like the story better.

I don't compare the two because I don't get why I should.

I like both. But I love Harry Potter mote because I grew up with the books.
and honestly you can compare the books. They're too different.

Hmm, I'm going to have to chose Harry Potter. Though I don't hate Twilight, I grew up with HArry Potter and it's a big part of my childhood. I connected more to the characters, and I liked the story better.

Like I said, I still don't hate Twilight, but I'd have to say the movie didn't do it justice, but the graphic novel did:)

I'd have to say my favourite cahracter is Luna, and my other is Neville.

Harry Potter. Forever. And ever. And ever. And Luna, Remus, Sirius, and Draco.
And because I grew up with HP. My dad actually got me into it. My dad and I aren't real close anymore, but whenever we begin speaking of HP, it's just like old times. Which sounds cheesy, but it's meaningful to me.

Personally I like both but If I choose one over the other I'm def team potter I was totally the kid that pretended my pencil was a wand shouting spells lol. Sure I was Dracula for Halloween a few times and I like wolves but twilight really hasn't made a huge-tastic impact on me.

I don't think they should be compared. Honestly, their biggest similarity is that they're both hugely popular. I think the debate over which is is better should end because they are so different. I love both, because of different reasons. I shouldn't have to choose and they shouldn't be compared.
