Ohmygod, spaces hurt like a b*tch! That had to be the most painful part of my experience!

My braces didn't hurt when I first got them though. I ate and still do, everything I did before I got my braces but then again, I'm probably my orthodontist worst nightmare xD

And congrats on the lead! Being in a play is always super fun : )

Be ready for drool city ;D To me, my top set didn't hurt NEARLY as much as my bottoms. I suggest that you take off for that day, if you planned on going back to school: don't. It's not worth it because they are so sore after being yanked on for an hour. Don't suck on anything, like... it feels as though they tighten when they're still sore. x.x You'll get use to the pain after having them tightened every 6 weeks.

Once they're in avoid soft bread. It's a b!tch picking it out of braces. Ask for an extra tree brush thingy because they're nice to keep in a school bag for those awkward moments when you absoulutly CAN'T get that piece of salad out from between the wires.... Your mouth will feel extra crowded for a while, and the wax doesn't work unless the area you apply to it is 100% dry.... mouth sore cream is extremely useful to have on you because they can rip at you cheeks x.x

I hated braces, but I'm grateful for every second I had them. Good luck <3 (Situating your lips over your braces will feel funny for the first few days...)

Congrats on the lead of the play, and I can't help you on how to deal with braces but I don't think it'll be that bad. Lovely picture btw, good luck. :)
