I was that kid, too. And one day I decided that I wanted to be a normal teenager, who goes to parties and, I don't know, socializes. And truth be told, I hated it, haha.
Do what makes you happy, not what you feel you should do. If you feel you'd be happier going to parties and socializing, go for it! But if what makes you happiest is having some nice quiet time alone with a book, there is certainly nothing wrong with that. =)
