If you could change ANYTHING about Mibba, what would you change and why? - Comments

Oh and there's this cool feature I saw on another site (except you have to pay to be part of it) but basically in order to post a new chapter or something you have to read and comment on a certain number of stories before you can post your own thing. I think that's cool cause it means you not only expect others to read your stuff but you also actively read everyone elses things. It also ensures more comments on stories that may not have been recognized before.

I also toy with the idea of having a section where writers can team with illustrators. I know picture books aren't most peoples scenes but it would be wrong to say that illustrations don't sometimes play a big part in certain types of books.

Better search options in the story section, for sure. Also, I'd like an option on profiles to see when the person was last online. And a block button similar to Facebook.

Often updates. A site that's making little changes here and there every so often is nice. I've been on Mibba since '06-'07 and it's seriously been the same except for the introduction of radio, chat, etc. Not to mention that we're all still waiting for that "New Mibba" we were told about in 2007... everything is seriously still the same. okay so to shorten that up a website that is always alive would be nice.

In terms of the boards, I would place more emphasis upon writing, so a larger and more interactive Tips section, and less on things like themes and whatnot. Mibba is first and foremost a writing website, and I think people forget that. I would want places where there were daily prompts and ideas, and maybe a requirement is at least 400 words a week or something, just to get people writing again, whether it be critiques for other users or rp-ing.

I'd like the site to change so that it has a mobile device version. Not saying that it can't be used on an i pod/phone but it is much harder.

I think I'd also like it to have something similar to Microsoft not just a spell checker but a grammar checker. I sure know before I post a story that I very much do have grammar error I'm aware that I have bad punctuation habits and such but that doesn't mean I know where they all are i just know cause other people tell me.

I think in addition to admins and regulators on the site I'd like there to be hired betas. Or maybe like users can have some type of rewards system for being accurate betas of other users stuff. Just to promote betas cause I know mibba has it's little system and site site for betas but it doesn't always work.

I would change rules on user banning. I know way too many people that have been banned for reasons that don't make much sense. So I think my change would technically be more communication with users when someone may have potentially broken a rule.

I think the stories section needs to be cleaned up a bit, better searching, maybe more moderating. The poems section too. Just tidy everything up, make it neater, more user-friendly.

I would change the fact that some stories get more notoriety just because the author is well-known on here. I, personally, don't think it's fair to the other good stories that are just as good, if not better.

well alot of users lack respect for what others believe but there is no changeing that.

I feel as if there's this group of users that are like a little clique, but who knows.
That's just the impression I get.

It's not Mibba that needs to change, it's the users...
