Nah, I haven't. I read it all the time though. I just feel like it's a lack of a potential space for great description. I feel like it'd be out of place to mention it. Who am I to tell anyone how to write? No one. It's just one of my preferences not to read is all.
Wow. You sure feel strongly about the usage of "and suddenly, everything went black". Have you told any of the writers about maybe changing that in their story?
Sometimes it's good to cut down on fluff, and sometimes it's good to have fluff. It depends on the writer's individual style. I personally can't stand too much fluff; it's a huge turn off.
