    Druscilla worded my thoughts perfectly.

Of course, I also agree that there are bigger problems in the world to be concerned about, but in a journal entry titled "What is Pansexuality?" on a site not focused on world issues, the chances of finding something you consider important is virtually nonexistent.

Lastly, for clarification, this journal entry is not about someone I like.

I identify as pansexual. I'm attracted to individual regardless of whatever their gender identify may be and I am attracted to more gender identities than just 'boys' and 'girls'. However, despite the fact that this term applies to me, I didn't know what it meant until I was 20. (However, I don't know how shocking that is consider my age difference.)

I agree that there are much bigger problems in the world, but there's also no problem with me identifying as pansexual and explaining what it means when someone asks. Ignorance is no excuse for discrimination, so education is our best bet.

I agree with you on the whole bigger-problems-in-the-world thing, but I didn't want to be rude and say so. Oh well, glad someone did.

Do you even like this girl to begin with? This comes off as passive-aggressive, honestly.

The difference is so subtle that I don't even bother to recognize the term. I just let people do whatever they want. Honestly, I don't mean to be blunt here, but there are bigger problems in the world I'm concerned with.

It's someone who is gender-blind. Pansexuals care about personality, not sexuality.

Um, I never understood what it meant. Honestly, the first time I heard it I thought Pancake. I saw many scene kids were using it so I thought it was another word for Bi that they invented.

    I guess not though.

I also learned that it has nothing to do with pancakes.

Pansexuality is like bisexuality, except you're attracted to people despite gender (how you see yourself as a man or a woman; so pansexuals don't care if you're a man that is feminine or a woman that is masculine.) Personally, I identify as pansexual, and my boyfriend is a little bit feminine, but I don't get upset when people mistake me for being bisexual.
