Our generation is dying. - Comments

I felt this way a lot when I was in high school. It's really a time when you see just how fake so many people are.
In my opinion, though, I think everyone's generation is like this. At the time, it may seem like the worst, but, in a way, it's hard to judge other generations. All you really know is what you read or hear from others; you weren't there like you are now.
It's good that you can separate yourself from them on that level though. It will help you in the long run. I know I had a lot more faith in this generation after I stopped seeing them every day.

I honestly believe it depends on where a person lives. Not all teenagers are selfish, yeah, some are, but you can't categorize an entire generation based on one high school in one state, in one country, on this one planet. It just doesn't work that way.

Seriously, I know tons of people who don't care about being "popular" or having the "coolest" clothes, where they may go for vacation or anything like that. Not everyone in this generation is so self-centered and so selfish. There are people who actually care about other things.

Also, I highly disagree with the last statement, but we all have our opinions. I love how everytime someone trashes an artist it's always Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga or anyone else from the "Top 40" when there are plenty of other artists who write and play extremely well. Just saying... My opinion.

Oh...if you want "good" music, stop looking at the top 40 list and radio play. There's plenty good music out there, you just have to put forth an effort to find it.

I very thankfully do not know too many people like this, but I definitely understand where you're coming from and how absolutely infuriating it can be.

Our generation has become one of selfishness and vain, people who only care for themselves and care more about their looks than anything else in the world. But it's not just our generation though, our society as a whole as become this. Even the generations before us have become like that. It's something that we need to work to change. We can change it and we will change it if we work hard enough to do so.

Though I disagree with your last statement, there are plenty of newer bands that are very good. But to each their own on that one.
