Especially regarding my story. I feel better now because I believe it has a good and rare plot-line aside from the part I mentioned in journal; that part is just the beginning (and a small piece) of a much more complicated chain of events.

For some ideas of what prizes should be, I would suggest looking at other contests and using some of the prizes you see there. Usually prizes include free comments, story layouts etc.

As for your story, it really doesn't matter if it is cliche or not. It's your story and you should write it however you want. Your opinion on your story is what is most important :)

2 - It's not an original idea, but it's still a good idea. The originality and lack of cliche will come from your own writing style, so just go for it.
