The protagonist or the best friend? - Comments

  • What was the quote?? I feel closer to the antagonists, by the way. When I was writing a story with a protagonist I had to know what the protagonist was all about. They have to be a leader, know what to say/do, and have the will to do those things. I don't like doing anything I don't like to do. And if there was a reoccurring bad guy, I would say “fuck it” and kill them. There was a Justice League episode about that.
I don’t think all good guys are truly good. They have to make the same decisions we do. A lot of the bad guys are misunderstood. And sometimes it’s what the good guy does that makes the bad guy worse.
Being the “best friend” makes me think about the side-kick. And I’ve seen/watched stories where the side-kick has enough of the BS and does ok on his own—that or turns evil.

  • I'm the supporting actor in my own life.

  • well, if you're talking about me with other people, i am definitely the best friend. it doesn't matter who it is, if there's someone else i'm usually the person supporting them and listening to them, helping them make decisions.

in my own life, definitely i'm the protagonist. i don't know how to not be, because well, it's my life- i'm living it.

i think that being a little selfish is okay sometimes, if that means you are taking care of yourself and loving yourself first before others.

because although being selfless and helping other is a great thing, how can you help others if you can't help yourself first?
