I couldn't agree more. The bible has been translated so many times through so many different languages through so many different cultures with their own moral values that may or may not line up with the bible's teachings that it's impossible to know what is and isn't true in the bible.

I completely agree. I am half atheist and believe the bible teaches us great lessons, but one shouldn't take them so literally. And some things like, y'know, reproduction with actually reproducing, that is fine, just I think the implication from the bible is don't be doing it 24/7. I think most "sins" aren't necessarily rules, just guidelines. Like in PoTC!
And some Christians just take the bible too seriously, and its human nature to hold onto beliefs, but I'm not one of them ;)
