If your "boy best friend" knows you best and thinks that it's a good idea to try out this "relationahip" or whatever it is, why not? If you don't like "salad" just kinda say that you don't and you could still be friends :) I personally thnk you should go for it, no matter what your mom and one of your friends say, you should give him a shot, just to see what he's like :) I hope this helps :)
