Honestly, I haven't gone through anorexia, but I have gone through other things that I didn't want to involve my parents in. I realized that I needed to see a professional and once I clued in my parents, they were a big help in getting me through it. I'm sure your parents want you to be happy and safe. Hiding this from them is only making things harder on you.

I'm so sorry for what you're going through. I'm sure it's really tough and I hope that things come around for you. You're lucky to have such a loving boyfriend that is willing to help you, and I'm sure your parents will try to do the same.

Give the thing with your parents a shot. They know you need your privacy on some topics, but this is something they can most likely help you with.

If you do something you don't want to and it turns out well, it's better than sitting around and letting your mind take you over when your heart's the one that's right.
