I have the same issues. I hate it so much. I had to check out in a cute guys line and i was mortified. Until he laughed at me and said that he had to buy tampons for his sister the other day. He was really chill and funny the whole time. But I really get anxious over it.
I buy the highest count I can find, simply because I don't want to have to buy tampons every month. I usually buy two 32 count boxes and that lasts three months. :) Usually.
i used to be the same way with wanting a younger female cashier and then i just stopped giving a shit because what are the chances that guy would think about me ten seconds later even if he was grossed out that i was on my period? XD
Icecream Sundaes; I love all the choices! It's so fun, you know? Shopping for feminine products is like shopping for clothes.
Are you a teacher, then? I live with two teachers, and trust me when I say that buying pads/tampons is the least of their worries. They would be way more mortified to be caught with a pregnancy test or alcohol.
Thank God I'm past the age of being embarrassed now. I actually like pad shopping :l there's just so many choices. But God forbid one of my boy students walk past me in the grocery store. I think I might be beyond mortified then
contract; I don't think this will ward off my anxiety for other cashiers, but if I ever happen to come through your line, I will make my purchase with confidence!
Icecream Sundaes; I used to dislike them, but I'm more comfortable with them now. I still keep pads on hand because I do still use them from time to time, but tampons are more discreet and convenient for me. Every girl is different.
I used to be a cashier, and, if it makes you feel any better, I wasn't paying any attention to what people bought, unless it was something I had to manually key in, like fruits/vegetables. A lot of cashiers, at least at my old work, weren't paying attention. Even when I would be off a register and bag every now and then, I wouldn't look too much into what it was, haha.
