Lol I wish there was more BDSM fics on Mibba, there seems to be a lacking of them around this site.

I don't see why people would look down on BDSM. I won't lie, I didn't know what that was until this year, but I see nothing wrong with it as long as it itsn't turned into sexual abuse, like you said.

I've never done anything involving BDSM (still a virgin here lol) but I like to read BDSM fanfictions so I have a bit of an idea of some of the things that are involved. That, and one time I looked it up on Wikipedia to find out what it really was lol XD

But, all that aside, I see nothing wrong with BDSM or anyone who partakes in it. Besides, it's no one else's business. LOL.

If you see people saying that, report them. Its bashing and its not allowed.

I only know about what's in the book based on what people have told me, so I'm not familiar enough with it to make a claim about whether it's actual BDSM or just glorifying abuse. All I can do is encourage people not to take it as a truly accurate representation. From what I've been told, it is inaccurate but not exactly considered abuse. To me, it seems like Christian simply moved way too fast with Ana, a novice shouldn't ever be introduced to things like electrical play so quickly like people said the book did. But like you, I don't really have any room to make real judgement on the book

I was discussing this with Bella the other day. I haven't read the book either, nor do I intend to, if for no other reason than I've heard the smut is very badly written and I couldn't possibly take it seriously. But the accusations and claims of abuse bother me, because of exactly what you're discussing here.

Of course, if the book grossly misrepresents BDSM and dominant/submissive relationships in a way that portrays them as abusive (if that makes sense at all), then that's something else; I'm not familiar enough with BDSM or with the book to make that call.
