I'm well aware, as I follow thew band rather closely. I've been aware since about an hour after they announced it, and I have honestly cried several times and been talking to my closest friends and my therapist about it. My point (from six months ago) still remains.

I've actually heard no rumors about the band breaking up but, then again, I've been a little out of the loop as far as news about the band goes. Like a lot of people, I'm going to be immensely sad when they break up, but I know it won't be the end. I'll get over it and jam out to their songs like I always do and laugh at hysterical videos of them on Youtube.

Er what? Um, no, its just I was having lots of thoughts, and the best one happened to be the one I commented. It would seem as if I had no filters, but that was me having filters.

I completely agree with you. I mean I'll be sad when it happens but there is no real proof as of right now. No one in the band has announced anything yet. And have people forgotten that during black parade they almost broke up? I mean yeah it will suck when it happens and a few years ago I would have felt like my life was over but I mean really, its like you said, it wont erase what music they already made. We can still listen to all their CDs and look at our posters or even watch videos online. Just because they break up doesn't mean they never existed. But back to the real point, WE DONT KNOW IF IT WILL HAPPEN RIGHT NOW. The My Chem fans have always been a dramatic group that makes up rumors that spin out of control. Like they were all in a car accident, Gerard died in a car accident, Gerard was doing drugs again, Lindsey beats Gerard, and my ever so favorite; Frank and Gerard were dating. I mean seriously people can we stop assuming things that we have no real proof for. Especially stupid things that the band would take offense to. I mean all the things listed above are stupid rumors people make up and for all we know this may just be another stupid reaction. Yes My Chem will be over eventually, its impossible for a band to make music for ever, but until they tell us, lets all just take a chill pill, relax, and enjoy what they have already given us.
I couldn't agree with your blog more.

I'm seriously just curious here. Why post a comment if you're not going to comment? I really don't mind an intellectual conversation; I'm just adamant on my position of not spreading rumors. If you disagree, you are welcome to state that!

    @ Vengenz
Sadly, I can, too! (I'm assuming you meant the band breaking up soon.) That's what causes me concern!

I clearly stated that they will break up eventually. I'm not in denial about anything. (The entire second half of the post was about their enivitable break-up!) My whole point is that no one except the band knows what is going on with them right now, so people need to stop spreading rumor as truth. I'm hoping they're not, but if they are, and when THEY say they are, I'll mourn the loss and continue to be a fan of their legacy!

I hate to point this out, but "maybe even where the future of MCR might be heading" could very well be either stay together or break up. It doesn't sound good to me, but again, it's how you interpret it.

This just sounds like a lot of denial, honestly. I know you love them, and it's hard to comprehend facing the breakup of your favorite band. So I get where you're coming from. But they can't stay together forever.

I really don't care if they break up, because I know they'll each go on to continue with something else. It won't be the last time Frank plays guitar. It won't be the last time Gerard records vocals. You know?
    It's actually kind of exciting.
But I understand other peoples' reactions. It they were my favourite band, I'd be in pieces right now. Perhaps because that WOULD be the end of them in the public light >.>

I was fucking devastated when I heard the rumors, and I actually thought they were true. I even went to Frank's blog and read through it multiple times, looking for hints that they were. But what you said is completely true. I haven't read a single thing about MCR breaking up, so I'm not going to worry about it right now.
The band has gotten so many people through so much, they're some people's saviors. Yes, there will be the interviews and inspiring music, but some of the fans need the new stuff to know their saviors are still there. Does that make any sense?
The only thing I'm worried about here is if the band does break up(soon or later, who knows) then fans could be put into depression for awhile. And it wouldn't be for attention, it would be because they really cared about the band, they love the band so much. When MCR break up, a part of me will die, I will cry and probably be in a pissy mood, but I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing, 'being myself, not taking anyone's shit, carrying on, and not being afraid to keep on living'

Oh my god, this blog is by far my favorite blog, you pretty much just summed up everything I was going to say myself.
And I know even more funny rumor... "FRANK IS GOING SOLO!" I literally started laughing... It was all started because he made that song for the movie Frankenweenie, or whatever it's called, Gerard did a song with Deadmau5, by himself if i may add, and that doesn't mean he is going solo, or joining Deadmau5. It just really annoys me when people are like that. I get exactly with you mean in this blog...
And another thing I hate, like you said, people thinking the world is literally going to end if the band breaks up... Me, I do care, I love them, they are a great band, but it's not like I am going to cry for hours on end and over dramatize it. Because I will always have their music to listen too, their music videos and DVD's to watch and interview to laugh at, it's not like all that shit will disappear. Bands break up all the time, lose members, it's just the way the music industry is, and yes most of the time it fucking sucks, but it's life, we move on.

I highly doubt they are going to break up anytime soon, maybe the reason why they aren't giving us any information is because they want it to be a surprise. But like you said we'll never know until they tell us.

I am definitely recommending this blog, cause it's by far the best MCR blog about recent rumors I've seen.

    xoxo
