It's not that you're a nice guy. It's that these "bad boys" are offering something that you're not. Excitement, intrigue. That doesn't mean be a cunt to her, it means be more interesting. Be the best. Sure some girls go for the wrong guys, but why would you want those girls anyway? They're just silly gangas who love the attention of a messy relationship. You're not a perfect 10, but try to be. If you don't work at it, then you're always going to be overlooked. Work out, be charismatic as fuck and have some fun. Rather than sitting on the internet whinging about getting overlooked by girls; build yourself so they can't overlook you ever again. There's no feeling quite like having a girl that rejected you or who wasn't interested run into you years on and notice how ridiculously awesome your body is. Go be the best.

It really should be "people" since guys are just as guilty of this as girls are. Since most guys would rather have the cute little girl with a nice chest instead of the shy girl that might not be as blessed.

Giving girls all hell for picking the 'wrong guys' is, in my opinion, not very nice at all.

the phrase should be: nice people finish last. In every situation, it's usually the overly nice person that gets shit on. It's sad, really.

Yeah, girls want nice guys as their "mr. right", but a majority of the time what they really want is "mr. right now". So the pass and/or friend zone the nice guy for a boy who seems more of a challenge. Of course, not saying all females do this. Yet, guys aren't so innocent either. It's a thing that's vice versa and goes in a circle.
