the meanings of words change as times and people change. The word 'swagger' for instance has taken on the meaning of someone with 'style' or something of the sort - however you'd like to describe it - when the true, dictionary definition is to conduct oneself in an arrogant or superciliously pompous manner; especially : to walk with an air of overbearing self-confidence.
Still has a similar meaning, but not always used in the most correct sense. Just like brunette is used to just describe - generally - people with brown hair.
Um, no offense, but all the people who say they have "swagger" pretty much are the epitome of the real definition.
And brunette's definition has not changed. People just don't know it.
