Hate to rain on the parade, but a lot of people cut their grass because of city ordinances. If you don't, the city will send someone to cut your grass for you and then send you a nice bill for $100.
It happened to my mom once, but we got out of the bill. (The reason our grass hadn't been cut was because we were broke and my stepdad was overseas at the time.)
My dream garden is one so big, you can walk through it. It would have a million flowers in different sections along with berries and some other plants. Oh and fruit.
When your house is in the middle of the neighborhood and you're surrounded by people with leaf blowers and cut grass, it kind of peer pressures you into it (but I have to do it because my mom keeps it long out of spite ). Besides, it rains almost everyday here and it's no fun to try and navigate through tall grass. It's icky.
I want a huge flower garden (only make it seem more like a wild flower garden) with a huge willow tree smack dab in the middle of it and few cherry trees scattered about. :)
When I think of a garden I want to have, I think of vegetables and not so much flowers. I'd like to have flowers around the house, but I want a big vegetable garden and I want to make entire meals from it.
And yes, I'm definitely going to cut the grass. I love the smell of fresh cut grass.
