  • Everyone goes immediately for the looks, that's what they see. But I don't think people fall inlove with looks. So that just makes it an inaccurate portrayal of love, not uncommon for a high school story when most people don't understand love anyway.

Yea, but in the story I read… that guy went immediately for the looks.

  • I don't think people fall in love just over looks anyway. That's lust, a crush, etc.

Of course if he loves you, he will think you're beautiful, but it's not why.

No, I completely agree with both of you. I'm writing this so those people can read it and think on it more. But the story I read was pretty bad… I didn't like it at all. Apparently the guy couldn't stop thinking about her beauty in the story and it just really rubs me the wrong way. But I feel as if the story would be amazing if the person developed the character and made them admirable not for their looks. It would be a good story to go with… my rant is basically just some tips they can use to make their story awesome. You know?

  • Looks are always the first thing you notice though. If I had to choose between getting to know a beautiful girl and an ugly one, I'd probably pick the beautiful one every time. I work hard on my appearance so I'd like a girl who does the same. Having said that, a person can have a beautiful personality as well. But yeah, you're on mibba where most of the stories are dumb fan fictions by lonely 13 year old girls who dream of meeting One Direction/Some faggy 'metal' band. I wouldn't expect too much in the way of character development.

  • Isn't it sort of realistic though? Perhaps I am just shallow, but when I first become infatuated with someone it's usually because of some physical characteristic. Is it really love as the author could claim? No, but it's definitely a sort of lust and attraction to the person. You just find the person generally aesthetically pleasing, you know?

So I don't think it's really bad writing as to moreover misuse of a word? Maybe.
