@Bonkers- Oh wow...sadly I can see this happening to me.

Dang. NC its 18 I think SC is the same. I know some states are different. I think in SC it use to be 21 but then again I'm not sure. I can see why they want you to be 18 though.

I totally get this. :/ I went to pick up a cousin from her middle school, and was sitting in the lobby, was told I should be in class instead of dawdling. Like dude, I'm almost 20.

But yeah, in Alabama idk how old you have to be, I knew a 15 year old with tattoos and I got my first one when I was 17. But in Georgia I was told you can't even go into a tattoo parlor unless you're 18. Some states are weird about tattoos.

@fandango- oh wow. It would seem like if your parents told them you were 18 they would believe you. That's stupid. I don't carry mine seems like when I do people have a hard time it's me.

@Red hood- I bought a lottery ticket just yesterday for the first time the guy didn't stare at the ID for long he believed me.

Here it's 18. It should be 16 but I kind of see why it's not. I wasn't sure if it was almost everywhere or just some places.

    Thank you :)

I know the feeling. I'm 19 and people always comment on how young I look. It also doesn't help that I'm 4'11". Apparently I look 12-15. >_< And I'll be 20 next June. bleh. I haven't bought anything minors can't in a while, but when I did they definitely took a minute to stare at my ID.

Around here one can get a tattoo at 16 with the consent of a parent/ legal guardian.

Also, I wish you the best of luck tomorrow at the doctor. And a speedy recovery.

I know the feeling Facepalm Last week (a week after I turned 18), I was told to leave a restaurant smoking area because I didn't have my ID and they didn't believe me or my parents. My mom fought with them for 20 minutes, but they wouldn't budge. It was extremely embarrassing. Now I carry my ID everywhere, even though I look about 14 in my pic Grr
