Seriously it would take two seconds for readers to be like "Hey your story has me wanting more, please update soon" or something.

Whenever I read a story I like I always make sure to leave a comment. If only everyone was like that :/

That's ridiculous. Really. I get annoyed when 50 or so people do this... but 500!?

Thanks everyone, I think the worst thing is to be able to see how many people read each update. If they kept it at just how many people have read overall, subscribed and recommended, then that would be fine. But its the numbers in the updates that really get me and have me second guessing myself.

And @Sprotsfan83 totally agree with what you said about thinking the update is boring and should stop.

You know me! I agree 100% I find it frustrating that no one comments....and that I have like 100 subscribers but only 8 recommendations. Maybe we should strike?? Lol. I feel when no one comments thati am boring them and that maybe it's time I just stop. I've tried to bribe my readers with teasers and stuff if they comment but that fist work either. I don't know how to make them tell us what they are thinking :(
