It depends how it's worn. If you're wearing a strapless dress, a strapless bra must be worn. No exceptions. However if you're wearing a dress with thin straps, then a bra can be acceptable in some cases. I have big boobs so I try to wear my strapless bra as little as possible since when I go out and dance with it in my boobs jump all over the place. Although that's when I buy clothes where I can wear an appropriate bra and still be comfy, haha.

It really just depends how it's worn and what you're wearing as well.

This reminds me of that moment in "Stick It" where the judge took points off the gymnast for her bra straps showing...It got really badass after that.
Its trashy if you're like, oooh look at my bra and you could be tucking it in, but if you aren't showing too much decotellage and its just sticking out because thats what bras do, then its fine.
But then again, its your choice if you want to show that, and if you don't care how strangers are going to label you, then whatever you wanna do is what you're gonna do. The Constitution never had a dress code put in. Not that I know of, at least...

I tried wearing a strapless bra under my dress for prom last year. I never thought anything could make my well endowed chest LOOK LIKE THEY'RE A CUPS. Not to mention the damn thing kept on falling down and I looked like an idiot pulling at my bra in the middle of the dance floor.
Nope. I'm keeping these puppies strapped in. I don't care if I look like a ho or not, they need seat belts :p

I literally can't do anything other than lie around the house if I'm not wearing a bra, whatever time of the month it is.
Not that I remember that affecting the situation any, but it's been a few years since it was an issue and I forget.

    I don't like built-in bras lol.

I have one strapless I bought to wear with a dress for... Prom last year, I believe it was, or Homecoming this year, I forget, but it sucks and I never wore it lol.

I think I only own one strapless too, and I'm pretty sure I've only worn it once, just to find out it sucked, ha. Some shirts have bras built in though, it never did me any good but maybe you'd like em? :) My mom loves shirts like that.

    @ Hannah Murray.
Awww, well you're definitely not trashy :)

    @ Queen Obscene
Urgh especially during certain times of the month, it can be torture to go bra-less. For me at least.

This wonderbra thing is seriously intriguing me. I'm really gonna have to get a job Mr. Green Thanks!

    @ Brian Kinney
Haha I think it's actually kinda cute that she picks 'it doesn't match' as an argument ^_^ she would hate me XD my bras never match any of my tops

Going without a bra when you have big boobs can be uncomfortabl e verging on painful depending on what you're doing. It's worst, makes it so much harder to wear some awesome clothes.

I kinda hate going out without a bra too, sometimes, so I can understand lol.

Strapless bras aren't worth it to me. I have small boobs and one strapless bra, waste of money lol.

You people are commenting way too fast, I can't keep up.
    @ kitsch
I have mixed feelings about the see-through shirt thing. For me personally (like ON me) it would depend on the company I'm in (not like going out wandering around public) but on other people, I guess I don't pay much attention. And I don't own any tube tops or strapless dresses actually Thumb up so I'm cool

    @ Usako
There aren't many outfits of mine it really bothers me on. But if it helps, depending on the outfit you're talking about, it can look more like you have a tank or slip on under it instead of a bra strap :)

    @ shay;;;
Everyone seems to agree on the strapless dress thing XD I suppose it's good though, since I don't have any and probably won't get any, it won't be a problem :)

See, I don't think it's trashy at all. And I completely agree with you on the cute bra issue, I have a bit of an obsession with buying bras so I have some super cute ones. I say, show em' off lol. But my best friends mom, likes to think she's my mom sometimes, and is always yelling at me for having my bra show. The thing is, she yells at me because it doesn't match my outfit, not cause it's trashy lmao. I never understood the issue though, as long as my boobs aren't falling out of my shirt, ya know?

I don't think it's trashy, but then I have tops that expose part of the cups of my bras.

I can't go braless either so I've tried many strapless bras over the years and I have to say Wonderbra do an excellent strapless bra - it's the one with bigger cups that has support built in at the bottom that looks a bit like fingers. I forget what it's called but it's great for bigger boobs. Ultimo are a pretty good brand too.

I personally actually hate going without a bra XD they move around and it make me feel oddly uncomfortable. Also I can't really afford many of the cool bras, but the wonderbra thing...I might look into that :)

I wouldn't go as far as saying trashy..unless it's with a strapless dress. That's just my opinion though.

I don't think it looks trashy, and I don't see a big deal about this debate because I think there are worse "fashion don'ts" in my book. I hardly even consider a "fashion don't" because sometimes there is just nothing that can be done. On a personal note, at the extreme, I find when mine show on a certain outfit a little annoying, but it's whatever.

I hate strapless bras too; they are not even worth it. Ugh

I don't think it's 'trashy', per se, more like odd if
someone is wearing a strapless dress or tube top
with a bra that isn't strapless. I'm usually more
repulsed if someone's wearing a sheer top
and I can see their bra (eg. white wife beater
with a bright pink bra or a leopard print one).
Facepalm I mean, to each their own, right?

Tl;dr Bra straps showing isn't too bad though; I am
guilty of it with my everyday casual wear.
