They're just assholes. Those weren't even her parents either. Her parents loved him. It was my dad's parents and they find a reason to hate everyone. Their reason for hating him was that he was old enough to be her father. Not a single fuck was given by my mother though. And after he died they talked about what a great guy he was.

I agree with you. My mom was like thirty when she married her fifty year old husband. My grandparents used to chastise her for the twenty year difference and ask what she saw in him since he obviously didn't have any money. But she really loved him and he worshiped her. Unfortunately he passed away after kidney failure like ten years ago and my mom just barely remarried, but he was a really good guy and I miss him.

I think people under 18 can love someone older than 18. Just because you're older than 18 doesn't make you more mature than if you're younger. I think that as long as both the people know what they're doing and are mature about everything, then they should just be allowed to be together. As you said, love is love, and just because you're under 18 that shouldn't stop being the case. I'm sorry if I seem like I'm ranting at you, but I'm not. I've just seen a lot of people saying things and I wanted to voice my opinion.

I agree with this. But I've never really had that much of a problem with different ages dating, it's not any of my business. As long as both people are adults, that's my only thing.
