I understand that sometimes inspiration can be sporadic. But if you don't have it, don't sign up to write a story for someone and just not do it. Let them know that you want to drop out so they can find someone else to write one!

I just got my story, hahaha. So, I'll shut my mouth >.> I guess it's still NYE in some places, ey?

Frankly this thread sounds like a bad idea. It sucks when you have absolutely no inspiration and someone expects something out of you. Creativity is a mysterious and elusive... Well, bitch. But brownie points for you doing your part, hon :)

Yes, she did a fabulous job! Hopefully everyone that screwed someone out of a story won't get to do it again next year; that's what she says will happen, at least.

This was my first year participating and I loved it. I would just be a tad more happy with things if I'd gotten my story, but I will admit that I enjoyed writing a oneshot for a different fandom than I usually do.

At first I had gotten a fandom that I wasn't familiar with, but I still wrote the story and in all honesty, I'm glad I did. That was the longest one-shot I'd ever written and it really broke the writing box I had closed myself into.

I've only gotten one story back so far. And like you've mentioned, I doubt my Secret Santa will get it in at all. It kind of sucks that I busted my ass writing a nice story and then there's that person just sitting back doing nothing. I'm sure that's the case for a lot of people.

i saw sparks was amazing for doing the Secret Santa 2012, and it really sucks that she has to write all those one-shots for the people that are too damn lazy. She said that she kept a list of all the people that entered amd turned theirs in, so that means she also has a list of people who didn't turn theirs in. I hope she hosts next year, too because she's really organized about it and she's doing an excellent job.

I know, it drives me absolutely mad. Like if you're not going to write one, at least message the person you were supposed to write one for and say "sorry, I got really busy with school/work/family and I didn't have time to write your oneshot, please forgive me."

I mean, really. There are acceptable excuses for not being able to write one, just let the person know, at least! Ugh! ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE ACTIVE ON THE SITE DOING OTHER THINGS!

So help me god, if my person is updating other stories while (s)he's supposed to be writing mine... Lol

Oh GOD. I'm so happy now that I got Gossip Girl fanfiction, haha.

I also haven't received anything in return. I'll be annoyed at all those that got a story and didn't write for anyone else. It's already annoying me to go on some people's profiles to see that they've been active on here, and still haven't written anything for anyone D:
