Does Anyone Else Find it Nerve-wracking When You Let Someone Read Your Work? - Comments

  • @ spacejunkie
Really? I'm very prone to anxiousness, so that must be why.

  • I don't get anxiety about writing at all. I love people reading my stuff.

  • @ Tre. I'm sure your efforts are not awful. I'd honestly rather get positive feedback in the beginning during the draft part (even if it's from close friends who might feel pressured into saying something kind) because it motivation to keep going. Once the story is done then I'm up for constructive criticism because it's posted for strangers now, and since the stories already completed I can't get discouraged into quitting it. I can only learn for my next story.
At least that's my plan if I ever finish this story.

  • I always get a flutter when someone reads my stuff, especially if I've asked them too. I feel like I've pressured them into be kind about my awful efforts .

You're work is a reflection of self, and it's brilliant to watch it progress, because it helps you understand where you were emotionally/mentally at that time.
