Americans (Ranting) - Comments

Americans will always resent the president, regardless of who it is. That is just Americans. Even some of our "greatest" presidents had their dissent. I suppose it comes with this fear of tyranny before it even happens.

I get so aggravated with people on my news feed because of this. Despite being 16 and a junior in high school, I definitely pay attention to the news. I actually believe blame falls more on Congress than on the president. People just amaze me.

I want to gather all the Americans who think like this and give them a politics/political history lesson.

None of their opinions make sense. The Nazis made huge efforts to help the economy, and the guns laws were also quite relaxed, so how is Obama anything like Hitler if they are claiming he is doing the opposite? And, as you said, Congress is at fault too. The U.S. government was created with three branches to prevent tyranny - which is why the president doesn't even have that much power.

Some people actually live under dictators comparable to Hitler and they would give anything to have a leader like Obama. But if these people are so ignorant I doubt they know or care about that.

Even if Obama was SOLELY responsible for the nation's debt, he wouldn't be comparable to Hitler. I just don't understand it.

It amuses me, though, how people throw out words like "Nazi" and "Socialist" and "Communist" and "Fascist" towards him--all of them! People believe he is all of those things at once, despite the fact that they are all different things and some of them are mutually exclusive. It just does not connect. It shows a blatant ignorance about basically everything political.

But, people do love hyperbole.
