The people involved are bound to know that their loved ones are going to find out since it's mostly friends or even family on facebook. I can't begin to understand why someone would be so desperate just to get noticed. Some of the video's are pretty disgusting, bordering on completely illegal and they still think it's cool? I know people are going to remember these "showboaters" but not for the right reasons.

The fact is as someone has already said they are mostly underage which is worse! If this is what it means to be famous, then our generation is well and truly wrecked.

Saw another one today where some ganga had her dog go down on her. People are weird. Didn't see all of the tampon one but I saw the Hodgetwins reaction to it lol. Saw that chick bang her dog as well, wtf mate. This kind of shit's been around for a loooong, long time, but I used to just kind of avoid those kinds of sites. The fact that it's on Facebook, a site I use daily is pretty fucked up though.

Never going to google search the girl and tampon video. Ever. I trust your descriptions to give enough of a picture to draw my conclusions.

I feel like I'm the only one wondering this, but I really wonder where the parents are when all of this is going on. I've noticed that a lot of the people going to extremes for "Internet fame" are underage people. Children. I really can't help but wonder where the fuck their parents are and why their parents aren't doing anything. I mean, the girl who did the tampon video is (from what I know) only 15 and still allowed online unsupervised. After their daughter pulls a stunt like that, you'd think they would revoke her Internet privileges for a while. I just don't understand why their parents aren't stepping in and letting their kids run wild. I don't understand why more people aren't concerned about the lack of parental involvement in this bullshit their children are partaking in. Not knowing isn't even an excuse. These things blow up online and their parents would have found out at some point, whether it be from the Internet or hearing it from someone in real life. It seems like parents just don't care anymore.

Personally, I didn't think the tampon video was that gross. Shifty I guess it's just because I've seen much worse things go on in front of me that I'm not as bothered by it as most people seem to be. I don't know. I really think that girl needs some serious help, not being bashed and told she needs to die. The way people are treating her is more disgusting than what she did. If she would go to those lengths to get attention and become famous, I would say there is a chance there is something mentally wrong with the young girl and she probably needs some help. I dunno, I just don't find most of these "gross" Internet videos to be all that gross. I guess I just see the other side of it, or at least try to most of the time. Though, that girl who had sex with a dog definitely needs to go to jail for bestiality and animal abuse and I hope she did or does.

No, but in all honesty, this kind of thing is so old, that it's to be expected. Like, seriously. There's too many attention drawing things to name. 2G1C, Two Kids in a Sandbox, Goatse, Meat Spin...

The internet is full of attention seekers, and it's never going to stop. I'm just going to keep an open mind. If someone wants to munch on a tampon, go ahead. I'm in a whole different state, so I don't have to have anything to do with you. Cute

I think they do understand it's not ethical. Hence, it's going to draw a lot of attention.
I mean, I still don't understand why someone would be that desperate for attention, but I don't think I ever will.

I admit I had to see the tampon video for myself..and I swear I lost the contents of my stomach.
I would like to think, if I was going to have my fifteen minutes of fame it would be something constructive, not destructive.

I just can't understand why people do such horrid things.

Eugh. At uni everyone talks about these videos and I'm sat there like 'psssssh well I'm glad I never saw it.' I don't understand why people feel the need to do that to have their fifteen minutes of fame; in a few weeks time, no one will even remember who they are. Hmmm it's strange what makes people do those things and how they think it will be of some use later on in life or how it will propel them into people's thoughts. What happens if these people go for a job? They're not going to get it if the interviewer has seen the video. Not very forward thinking if you ask me

You're right, things like this has been going on for one hell of a long time. But I don't think people understand that it's just not ethical.

People have been doing these things a lot longer than the internet has been around to circulate it.
People have also been seeking attention for a long time.

When they have an outlet like this, that's instant and worldwide, why would they not use it? The world isn't getting any uglier, it's just becoming more informed.
