I decided to fancy myself a laugh by looking up Westboro Baptist Church - Comments

I live in a city nearby Westboro Baptist Church and my stepdad is apart of a motorcycle group that will go ride around the block the the church is on and rev the engines really loud during the church services. It's kinda funny. In all honesty, I feel bad for the younger people attending the church because they're essentially being brain-washed and don't get the opportunity to have thei own opinions because te church's opinion is being crammed down their throats...My rant is officially over now

Westboro Baptist Church act like they haven't read the bible at all. The bible does point out things that are wrong, for example homosexuality, but it also says to love everyone and that you are not to judge anyone. Judgment is supposed to be God's job, and we are to forgive and love everyone like God forgives and loves us.

ps. I'm pretty sure the bible doesn't say a man can't love a man, or a woman can't love a woman. It just says they shouldn't have sex.

(I'm not a christian but my entire family is, so I've grown up in it.)

Most of the time it's not such a big deal and it is laughable. It's when they protest the funerals of dead soldiers and 8 year old AIDS victims that I just can't laugh anymore

The thing about the WBC is that they're nothing, but immature asses that probably don't really have anything better to do than make the lives of others miserable because they themselves are miserable.

If it weren't for the fact that they're such homophobic assholes who bully the dead, I wouldn't be taking these people seriously at all. They remind me of a humorous satire you'd see of a very extreme religion because of how ridiculous they are, which again would be hilarious if they didn't hurt other people with their beliefs.

They're ridiculous. Someone needs to banish them/punish them because yeah freedom of speech and all, but THERE SHOULD BE A LIMIT HERE.

WBC picketed Ryan's high school our senior year because they had a high teen pregnancy rate. they're literally everywhere. and it never ceases to amaze me that they put forth all these resources to causing a stir but everyone thinks they're a massive joke. idk man. I wish there was some way around freedom of speech that could get them kicked out of the country.

I sometimes wonder if they actually believe what they preach or just make this stuff up as they go along to troll everyone.

WBC is nothing but a joke. I don't see how or why anyone would follow them unless being brainwashed. It's actually quite funny, one of the daughters of Fred Phelps, the founder of the Westboro Baptist Church, had a son out of wedlock. She did the exact same shit she preaches again.
