What do I do?.... - Comments

  • I had this same problem when I was a senior in high school. I was juggling theater, weekend performances, tennis, classes, and community service. But I really needed a job for about the same reasons. Damn that gas! Anyway, I agree with that dude down there, you need flexibility. I found my self freelancing around, ranging anywhere from tutoring to babysitting (It's actually really good money!). My lucky break, though, was when I landed a paid internship at a dentist office. It's usually part time and they only have you come in 2 or 3 times a week and pay like 12/hr. You should look into internships, my friend. They'll fit your flexible hours and because they're internships, they don't always expect much experience or qualifications, plus they can help put your foot in the door for something better. Maybe look into music internships? All the luck to you :)

  • Yeah man you've gotta bite the bullet and get a job. A mate of mine I work with works regular hours and still manages time for his music. You've got to find a job with flexible hours. Or get your band to fit into your work schedule. Until you can make enough from music to not need it.
