What was that? Oh, the sound of a million fangirl hearts and fantasies shattering under the strength of your truths.

    THIS. SPEAKS. VOLUMES.

Virgin ladies, if you read fan fiction or watch porn, you may be setting yourselves up for disappointment. Not ever guy is going to be hung like Bucky the Wonder Horse, and guys--unless she's really sensitive--girls are not going to orgasm multiple times before you even put your dick in.

    Reality check.

I feel like a lot of people forget about the use of condoms and birth control pills. I know some people are like "oh, fuck condoms!" but generally, for a first time and if it's with someone famous, the girl is probably going to insist upon a condom. Second, people are not always vocal about their birth control pills and a nice majority of the female popular (in the US) is on them. I really dislike how it's like ..that one night "I forgot to take it!" ...uhm, it's really hard to get pregnant if you've missed one pill. You would have had to miss a bunch. And then there is such a thing as the morning after pill. Go get it. 4 dollars at CVS with your CVS card, lmao.

I really hate how people promote unsafe sex and glorify teen pregnancy.

Which is why, in my fics: fade to black, and the only babies come with time and pain and suffering and years of being a superhero.

Teenage pregnancy usually occurs because young kids are misinformed about how easy it is to conceive. All it takes is one time, virgin or not, and bam. You have a baby on the way, congrats. Of course there are exceptions to this, some people aren't as fertile but for the average person, it's very possible. Some women can get pregnant just from the pre-cum alone, hence why "pulling out" should not be considered a form of birth control. But as for the second half of this blog, fully agree. Writers get lazy and most of them write sex to keep their readers interested. But if you're not going to write a detailed scene longer than two paragraphs, it's totally pointless.

Yeah I see that a lot too when it comes to the girl getting off quickly. I think when a lot of girls write these stories, they imagine themselves in the female character's shoes. They imagine that if Synyster Gates or M Shadows was fingering them, that they'd be so excited from it, they'd probably explode instantly. While I doubt that would actually happen in real life, I think the author is just excited. I definitely get what you mean though. There seems to be this pattern with fan fiction smut. Guy kisses girl, takes over dominance in the kiss, fingers the girl, she cums almost instantly, then they have intercourse where she somehow cums almost again a second time, every time. Yadda, yadda. Now the pregnancy thing I'll never understand. You can't honestly have sex one night and wake up pregnant the next. At least throw in "a month later" to make it legitimate lol.

You would think that too but the world seems to revolve around people wanting to write about having babies. All these fan fiction writers writing about babies, it still stumps me. I would rather consider my fantasy the one where I sleep around and never have to deal with a child then the other way around. Plus you know, the majority of them don't know how to write about babies let alone take care of them... endless cycle...

In general I find the majority of all sex scenes to be... meh. I took a class this past semester that covered in it's completeness Fictive Sex. We studied every aspect of sex, each corner, each fantasy, and why some people can't write it and why other's can. I must say I learned a lot from that class, and I suppose the main thing I'm taking from it is that sex is one of the hardest things to write (no pun intended). Mainly because everyone's afraid to put in flaws. No one does it right each time and there's bound to be slapping of skin, miscalculated position of an appendage, the accident of getting too exciting and shooting off, etc. Sex isn't perfect, and trying to make it perfect in fantasy disengages a reader simply because it's unbelievable. :)

I would have thought it would be the other way around (be it both fan fiction or original), where the couple have unprotected sex, with no negative consequences at all.

What turns me off about a story involving sex is if the male comes more than once within a span of an hour. Uh, no. Once guys come, generally they are done unless they wait a while for it to spring back to life. I'm talking hours, here.

Men are not women -- they cannot come over and over again. Most people don't seem to understand that.

I think sex-scenes are generally written by those with little to no sexual experience or people basing everything on an unrealistic fantasy.

Girls can concieve during their first time, too. It's just depends on their time of the month or something along those lines.

Oh well, what I meant (but forgot to write - how typical), is that it's not very common that women get pregnant after having sex once, even though it can happen yes... The thing is, a lot of the girls/women in the stories is a virgin, and gets pregnant on their first time.

Yes exactly, and it's really annoying!

It's very possible to fall pregnant after having sex just once. Scarily so. I wouldn't exactly go around saying the opposite.

I also hate that girls orgasm so soon and suddenly and that it's the most amazing thing ever. A lot of girls cannot orgasm through penetration alone. Fact. And that's all I ever see written in fan fiction.
