Oh Katie, what knowing you does to my emotions! Seriously crying at the fact that your boyfriend thinks you have an imaginary friend names Sunny. Fucking hilarious.
My boyfriend knows that I have an account and totally threatened to make an account just to stalk me on it. I told him I wouldn't mind if he did since I don't have much posted on here. But when I talk about mibba to him, I just say "A friend from the website I am a member of". He doesn't seem to mind that I talk about you guys all the time.
Poor Katie! Oh god, I can only imagine what he'd do if he finds out about Mibba. But you can always lie and say we're all your facebook friends going by aliases and stuff.
My boyfriend of three years has no idea. If I have a conversation on here, I change the story to him saying I had the conversation with my friends at school. I hate lying, but I'm too ashamed to tell him just in case he doesn't understand. I think he would, since he's super supportive of anything I do. One day when I write an original fic, I might show him, but for now I'm happy living this secret life
HA! I thought I was the only one! My boyfriend of three years is also completely clueless about Mibba (for the exact same reason) and I'm always saying "this girl from work! Or this girl from school!" Luckily we have a constant flow of people at work, so he can't keep up with them!
My boyfriend knows about Mibba. I show him my new themes and blog entries sometimes. He knows who my internet friends are, although he has trouble placing them. He places them by traits. ("Oh, that's the girl from Mexico who's getting married?")
I just laughed out loud to myself in the middle of my office reading this.
BAHAHAHAHAAHAHA!
Just tell boyf that hey, I'm a part of a community that supports aspiring writers and I've met a lot of great people on there that support and share their work with me and I with them and this girl and I talk a lot. I've met a lot of great friends through it that have the same interest in writing and literature and even so far as music and movies and such through this fantastic website. I was ashamed at first because I didn't think you would understand but I know you're like totes understanding and I shouldn't hide it so heyyyy, I'm on an online writing website and I work with other cool peeps that I have become close with so they are not imaginary (very real and offbeat characters that I couldn't write up myself) but exist in other parts of the country and/or world.
I'm sorry, but that made me laugh. So hard. But I don't think I should be sorry for you. Your boyfriend made me smile.. wait, LAUGH. So, I guess you are one lucky girl.
Mibba will understand you. Just because you didn't tell him Mibba will open its imaginary and visual arms to you. ::arm:
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA HAHAHAHA okay omg that is so precious TELL HIM he's so cute what a cutie pie awww
Not because of my secret fear of imaginary-boyf finding out about my love affair with a certain band (or three...), but because Mibba literally takes ALL OF MY SPARE TIME. NOT KIDDING. I HAVE NO LIFE BECAUSE MIBBA.
Oh my gosh, that's hilarious. He sounds so precious. I always tell people my Mibba friends are people I met at uni. My friends think Anna (electric goat) is my friend I went to school with in California that I've kept in touch with because I talk about her so much and don't want to admit to my friends that I write as a hobby.
...I may or may not have laughed a little bit. A lot of my friends don't know I write at all and my dad only found out I write on Saturday (well, to be fair, he just thinks I'm a site mod at the moment, I don't know if he cottoned on that it's a WRITING site) so I'm in the same boat if anything happens.
