That's exactly right. I really look up to my grandma in that aspect because she's incredibly honest and has no problem telling the world how it is.

My family is incredibly dysfunctional on both sides, though. Ah, I dunno. I know everybody says that but I could write a hit soap opera with all the material from my families.

I think everyone finds their families scary I know mine is!! I love people like your nan they'll say what's on their mind and won't take no shit!

She really is! It's kind of funny because she was really young when she had my dad (16) and he was really young when he had me (22) so she's like still 56 or something and so she doesn't look that old or anything but she's like 5'0" (maybe 5'1" when she stands really straight) and calls herself Granny and it's just the sweetest cutest thing. Ah, I love my Grandma.

She's funny, too, though, because she hates loud, bratty kids (or adults for that matter) so if she sees them, it doesn't matter who the parents are she will straight up start barking at that kid to behave. She really just doesn't give a shit. And it doesn't matter that she's small enough that anybody could probably toss her across a room, she will get right in your face if you're being a little shit and put you in your place no matter how much bigger or smaller you are than her. (My dad is kind of the same way, though, and he's kind of small for a guy. He's 5'7" and weighs a buck twenty but he'll beat the shit out of just about anybody if he has to. Like mother like son. Ah, now that I think about it, my family is kind of scary. )
