@ synthian. Oh that sucks! I hope you get some good rest soon. I've been feeling super tired lately too. I'm getting a wisdom tooth pulled Thursday! Yikes. I finally got that banner added to my story that you did for me lol. Thanks again! You're awesome.
@ Vixyn Of Syn Ah I see. That's a pretty sensible opinion too lol. Almost everyone has heard of them now. I've even filled in my Grandma and Mom LOL. Someone not knowing who Avenged Sevenfold is, is like someone not ever having heard of Harry Potter. O.o
I agree with Rath and synthian. (and I'm sure a few others, but I didn't go through ALL of the comments). Lol. The story as a whole plays into whether or not I prefer for the girl to know them or be clueless as to their identities. :-) I typically make my characters familiar with them, because I'm always making the setting current and basically EVERYONE has heard of them now, even if they don't like them. But set it back before "Bat Country" was played on MTV and stuff? Yeah, you can make a totally reasonable case for her not knowing who they are. That's just my take on it.
@LadyxXxShadows The same old stuff, school being an asshole and being incredibly tired. I'm so tired that my body is literally screaming for me to fall asleep anywhere (I don't know why, I have been sleeping normally). Yourself?
It depends, on the setting of the girl is in or the character of her, if she lives in the 21st century, go on the internet and listen to rock music, then she should heard of Avenged Sevenfold. But if she is focused on other genres of music or anything, then that could be done. But I prefer it if the girl have heard of the band, it should be done tastefully. You know, no creepy fangirl stuff. But if it is in another world, time or universe, then, yeah.
@ Rath No you do make sense. Like for instance, say a girl knows all these famous bands and ends up getting a job as the merch girl. Then somehow she mysteriously doesn't know who Avenged Sevenfold is even though she claims to know all the famous bands lol. That would be so wacky.
@ HerNameIsAlice Lmao now I do too! I love stories where the tables are turned and it's something that hasn't been done a lot or ever! Those are the best. I like when maybe the girls knows, but she doesn't fawn over him because of it.
She knows, but treats him like a person and doesn't always stroke his famous ego lol. He in turn likes that about her because she has a mind of her own is kind of a challenge.
For me it depends on the rest of the story line. Depending on the situation of the rest of the story, it all depends on if it would be good for the female to know who he is or not. I'm sorry if I'm not making any sense. :/
Laid back, of course. But not too laid back that they're like, "I'm gonna call you this and make fun of Johnny cuz I'm so B.A and I'm gonna call you a slut jokingly cuz I'm so totally best friends with you guys.". Not knowing sounds good too. Or PRETENDING not to know. Play a little game of Cat and Mouse, kind of. The idea of MATT being a crazed fan would make an amazing story plot. It could be a stalker story! I'd totally read it, for sure! It sounds really cool! But now I wish there was actually a story like that, haha!
Both, I guess? I mean it all depends on how you want to express the OC. If you have her as a calm, laid back kind of person, then I'm sure she won't scream her head off when she meets them. I just don't like it when the OC is like "OMFG YOU'RE AVENGED SEVENFOLD. LET ME FUCK YOU." Lol if it avoids that, then I'm cool with reading it. =)
Lmao yeah. I like when they give me the numbing shots. Weird I know but it's like....ooh my face is all not working right lol.
