Yes, I do think you should have compassion for people- even criminals. BUT NOT BECAUSE THEY ARE CRIMINALS! BECAUSE THEY ARE HUMAN! And compassion does not justify letting someone get away with a crime. THAT IS NOT COMPASSION. Just no! NO! THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY FUCKING SENSE! JUST NO!

And add that onto the court systems making the woman DEFEND herself instead of making the perpetrator, the rapist defend himself. Asking her questions about what was she wearing, if she drank, how much, did she go out in groups, where was she, and pretty much excusing the behavior of the asshole who raped/sexually harassed her because apparently it is our fault; we should be more careful because we might get raped, so we need to take precautions and if we dare to even live life, then it's our damn fault we got what was coming. Like, who are you protecting here?

It's sad and makes me mad that people honestly believe some of this stuff.

In the article it had said "nobody asks to get raped" and people saying that women are asking for it just infuriates me. A woman doesn't go "Oh today I feel like getting raped after clubbing so I'm going to wear tight clothes and drink" that's never the intention, no one asks to get raped.

Oh, god I find it more discouraging that it has become an internalization issue that now even women think they are to blame.

Oh what the fuck is wrong with people.
I am now pissed off. It's always the woman's fault.

She drank too much, she should have been more aware, her clothes were revealing..

One of the downsides of following several feminist blogs is that you see a lot of crap like this one here it takes its toll, but I think it's best to keep informed in order to fight this sort of bullshit.

That is awful! How can people like that even have jobs in prosecution!!! All I can say is what an idiot, I hadn't heard of this story before, what is this world coming to!!!???
