Trust me, no offence is taken, I completely agree. She's put up with a lot of his bullshit for the past seven years since they've been together (a year and a half of that was spent being married) so I'm really proud of her. She's currently consulting divorce things with another one of my aunts (more of a family friend I consider an aunt) since she's a lawyer and knows how to go about all of this.

I feel really sorry for your aunt, she doesn't deserve this at all and it's awful that stuff like this happens to such nice people. But it's good that she is standing up and not taking this lying down, it shows what an amazing person she is, that she has the confidence to walk away, some people don't. I would suggest keeping in contact with them as much as possible because they will probably need a lot of help and emotional support. No offence, but your aunt deserves someone better than your uncle and she is better off without him. Xxx

I'm actually really proud that she's taking action instead of just letting it pass. You're right about people being selfish, my uncle is one of the most selfish people I know, I just wish that they didn't have to string other people along. It's the worst possible thing to do.

People cheat because they are selfish assholes and cowards. If they think they are going to be unfaithful...they need to get divorced or whatever first. Sure asking for a divorce will hurt the other person too...but at least they aren't being lied to and cheated on behind their backs! I'm sorry to hear about this and I feel for your aunt. =/

    @ Diligence
It does, but thank you Hug

My aunt is taking it all surprisingly well and hasn't exactly gone on a rampage from what I've seen. She's nearly done packing her things away and it's just making it worse for me. I think my other uncle had it right when he suggested that she not marry his brother. She loves my uncle, always has, but clearly had no idea what she was getting into when they married.

Sad Geez, that sucks. I'm really sorry.

I honestly just think, "You really need to know and love the person you're getting into bed with." I feel as though if you don't god knows cheating might happen. It sucks.
