I understand what you're saying. Depending on the topic, I usually like the movie better than the book. But that's only sometimes.

I've not finished the book, but so far it's quite close to the film. I prefer the movie, probably and unpopular opinion, but most of the time I prefer movies to the books they originated from.

I wish that I had the book. I would love to read it. Is the movie similar to the book at all?

Atonement is a brilliant film. I'm reading the book for my English Literature Coursework and it's amazing.
