You're welcome. I know how hard it is, and that's with my mom living with me. I think it's probably harder since you don't live with your mom. But it sounds like you guys are trying to make the best of it, which is always a good thing to do. And you should have hope. I mean, I don't know her situation entirely, and every person is different, but hope always helps. But I do wish the best of luck to you and your mom in dealing with this Hug

    @ independence.
Thank you so much for the advice and kind words. I put a lot of the advice to use and I talked to her this morning without crying and she told me that her testing is Monday and we will go from there. After that we just had a nice long talk about other things. I'm staying as positive as I can and I hope I can over the course of her battle with this. We just discussed her fall trip to come see me being cancelled because of this and I told her not to worry that she can come another time. When you told me about your mom surviving breast cancer it gave me hope.

I'm so sorry about your mom. My mom was diagnosed when I was 11, but thankfully she beat it. Like the others said, just try to be positive and be there for her. Those two things and hoping for the best are really the only things you can do.

But I wish the best of luck to you and your mom. Hug

I have cancer and yes it is very scary to go through and I get even scared for my husband who is suffering from tumor in his brain. Its a very scary experience but all you can do is be there for her and think positive. Don't think about it and don't make it a big deal because it will stress you and her out.
Think about positive things, pray and believe she is going to get better.
Whenever you're around her avoid the subject of death, sickness and chemotherapy. Because I know it annoys me and makes me more depressed when someone just keeps talking about it with me.
Cancer does suck but Do not, I repeat DO NOT let it take it over your life.
She is alive right now for a reason so praise God for that. She will get better, I have faith in her.

No matter what happens, think positive thoughts. Imagine her being cancer-free. Thought is very powerful; if you imagine it, it's waaaay more likely to happen.

That being said, I'm really really sorry, and I pray that your mom gets better <3
