I do have to agree with you there, if a user is being condescending/bashing/etc and it's the first occurrence then they should be warned so that way they can stop before they continue.

I think it depends on how many counts of bashing/rule breaking the person has stacked against them. Like if a person has only been warned once then they won't get a ban? I'm not absolutely certain, but I can check with an admin on what actually gets a user banned. :)

Yeah, definitely don't do the dictionary line. Even if the user just told you that you were unintelligent. You will get banned and they will not because, somehow, calling someone stupid is less offensive that suggesting they get a dictionary. /rant

You can rant as much as you want, but if you screen shot or link people to the person (or name them) that is public ridicule, people have gotten in trouble and banned for it.

I guess we're just not going to agree on that. I feel I'm allowed to rant or vent about whatever I want on my personal blog or on facebook if I'm angry since I can't do that here without it being bashing... It's kind of silly...

It does, but it is a rule. It's considered public ridicule because then people from say tumblr, can find out who the user is and then come on Mibba and bash the user for a conflict that happened.

I think it's more of not to go on other websites and publicly talk trash about other users. Because if they see it, it would really hurt them.

I am not allowed to talk negatively about members off of mibba? So if I like went on tumblr and named people I could get in trouble? That seems a little extreme since this website doesn't have any reach over to that website...
