@ little dove Exactly. But I really liked the romance in Holes, in the flashbacks. I forgot the man's name, but he was mighty beautiful and I loved his catch phrase. It reminded me of The Princess Bride and "As you wish"
@ raroman If you loved the movie you'll love the book. There was some things in the book that they couldn't add (as always) which was really amazing. One of the few books I'll probably re-read since I read it when I was in like 5th grade, lmfao. Not only that but for some reason they always feel the need to add some kind of romance to it... like I get it'll probably attract some people but it isn't necessary, all the effort they take to add that takes away legit things from the book.
@ little dove Exactly! I haven't read Holes, but I loved the movie. I totally agree. Movies nowadays...It's like this formula for plot, and they cover it up with special effects and sh*t. It's sad.
@ raroman I've yet to see that movie, either. Yeah movies aren't great anymore, I think the last decent movie that was adapted, in my opinion, was Holes. I mean even the Harry Potter movies, while great, weren't anywhere near as good as the books. I don't know why script writers or directors, I don't know who's to actually blame, have such a hard time with making a movie follow the basic plot of the original book.
@ raroman Oops, I meant Mortal, I knew it sounded odd when I first typed it. Even if it doesn't stick to the whole plot I'm curious as to how some things turned out. And Robert Sheehan.
@ raroman Nathan Fillion is amazingly hilarious. D: You've seen the The Immortal Instruments movies and it was bad? I still want to see it, but since I know they make Robert speak with an American accent he's much better in the Misfits.
