I believe we reach space in the form of energy. I don't think the same thing happens to all displaced energy when we die, but I do believe it goes further than earth into the reaches of our universe.

But I also acknowledge, like you, my beliefs may stem from optimism and hope.

    @ gonna hear dru roar.
I think it leaves the body as soon as the body starts decomposing. I also believe this same energy is released with people who are cremated. I'm not sure if it is conscious, though. I would like to believe it is in order to appease my need to know about what happens after we die (not on the biological level) and my utmost hope is that we can reach space in the form of energy; that'd be amazing and absolutely beautiful.

I actually find your belief of energy being trapped in a human body to be extremely interesting. My mother is an Atheist and I am a believer and we both believe in the energy you're speaking about, but we both believe it leaves the body.

Do you think the energy is conscious? And can I ask why you think it doesn't leave the body?

Hey, and let's not forget how many people are down in hell. You can party with Freddie Mercury, since he's gay, or have a smoke with Kurt Cobain, since he killed himself. Oh, and also more than 60% of the fucking earth population.

God is supposed to be love, not heaven or hell. I'm not religious but these kind of people throw me off.

You should have flipped tables and whipped her. At least, that's what Jesus did when he got angry, and if she wanted to save your soul then I think following in Jesus' footsteps would be the right way to do it, and might as well make it interesting.

I've grown up in a religious home my whole life, and lemme say this: lust is when you want someone for their sex and body and that's it. I'm 110% in love with a boy I'm not married to, but it's because of his character and soul, then lastly his bod (even though he does have a nice body ~~) but anyways, yah, she's manipulating the Bible. Trust me. Basically, she was using appeal to fear and emotions more than anything.

Can I get VIP reservations for that party? tehe

I honestly was very confused because I was raised a catholic so when she was pretty much judging me I was like... wait... waiiiiit, if I remember correctly, there's some place on the bible that says that you shouldn't judge anybody because god is the only one who can do that?

So I was kind of confused with what she was trying to do. What I like about the people that I know who are religious is that they have their own relationship with god and do not rely on whatever the church wants to tell them. So each of them has their own interpretation of the scripture and their own feelings about it and do not feel guilty about that.

    @ midnight sunshine x
Actually, she's the very first person who I've met that is like this. My family (all of them 'cept for my bro, a cousin, and me) are catholic and I have never encountered judgment or condemnation from any of them, so I was kind of surprised.

That's precisely what a friend of mine told me; he's like "wait, what? Nowhere in the bible says that. The commandment was to not commit adultery which is classified as going after the spouse of someone else". So yeah, I don't know how she came up with that conclusion.

I'm a catholic, and believe me, only a very small minority of people think like that. I don't understand what she meant about the marriage thing and the love/lust thing, it sounds like she made it up!!!

Honestly...being someone who was brought up in a very strict religion myself, I wouldn't let that girl bother you. I'm not saying this is what she was doing but there are some "religious folk" who try to manipulate the Bible and it's rules to fit how they think people should believe. I honestly don't like some religion's tactics of trying to win souls or "save" people because they try and scare you into being better or into their so called Heaven.

Everyone should have the right to believe what they want to about God or not without shoving those beliefs onto other people. Personal faith is not something that should be forced upon someone. Some people practice ignorance and just throw the Lord's name on it to suit their cause but....I'm not going to judge them either even though I do not agree with their methods.

I honestly believe in God or some higher power but I do not believe in organized religion. Too many men and women try and put their interpretation on how God wants us to act and it's just...wrong and close minded sometimes and in some situations. Sometimes it even ends up causing a lot of controversy and hurt in people's lives. I don't mess with it. When I die....I think my body is going to rot in the ground. That's it. That's why I'm trying to enjoy my life now and just be happy and try to treat others with decent kindness.

When people try to insinuate that I'm going to Hell, I say, "Well I already know that I'm going to Hell so I may as well enjoy the fucking ride." tehe

I have a magnate that says, "I'm going to hell in every religion!" I think it works in this matter lmfao I've actually started using it to people who put me through what you've dscribed.
