I think your friend is just poorly trying to tell you she wants you to be in a healthy, happy relationship.I think the truth of the matter is that he just isn't in a healthy place in his life, and so having a relationship with somebody else would be hard for both of you. Of course you don't have to move on right away, but I'm sure he telling you he loves you makes it hard to feel like things are over. I wish he would make a decision and not make you feel so confused about it. :/ I think that being with him might be possibly damaging to your health, but in the end it is your decision and you are allowed to make it, and your friend should be more respectful of that & reassess her communication methods.
