Hahaha I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to make it sound like that. I mean I felt like they were trying to be popular in the metal genre, like how Nickleback is popular in the hard rock genre. I didn't mean they sounded like Nickleback or anything, that'd be terrible...
Well I'm sorry I offended you, it was just my opinion. I plan on listening to the album eventually but I don't think it's going to be as good as their previous ones. *shrugs*

*cringe* please don't ever compare these guys to Nickelback! and I understand its your own opinion, but I will say that they are a constantly evolving band and its been widely discussed by the band themselves. They wanted to go back to basics with this album and that's exactly what they did. I have been a fan of Avenged for as long as I can remember and know they don't do anything that's not what they are into at the time, regardless of outside input or whats mainstreaming at the time, so saying they changed their sound to make it more 'accessible' because they wanted to please the masses kind of offends me. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but thats just how I feel. I really think you should listen to the whole album before you get to critical of their new material. Your missing out, but thank you for commenting. I appreciate it:)

I have not. I've heard the title track though; and it's just a little disappointing to me. I really liked their 'old' sound; to me (and this is just me and my thoughts), it sounds a little bit like they've realized they have a huge audience, so they're making their sound a little more 'accessible'. The riff sounds a lot like AC/DC's Thunderstruck, and I was expecting something a little more original than that from someone as talented as Syn. I plan on listening to the whole album eventually, but I don't think I'm going to like it as much as I like their other stuff. I just feel like they're trying to be the Nickelback of whatever genre you'd put Avenged Sevenfold in.
I do agree that people pay too much attention to the way bands look, though. And that's physical, "Oh (s)he's suuuuper hot" matters. I think that's a poor reason to be a fan of a band, if they were marketing based on looks, they would be models and not musicians. Now, if Avenged was a band that had a specific "stage look" like Motionless in White, Marilyn Manson, The Misfits, or Behemoth, I could see and justify people making a fuss about it because for those particular bands, their look is a big part of who they are as a group. But this is just ridiculous; it's like when Justin Bieber cut his hair and lost 4K twitter followers or whatever. They're all literally stooping to that level and it's very sad...

Dude, I agree so much! It's not just the guys either, but people need to focus less on image. They make music. For your ears.

lol, I love you. I totally agree, the man is sex on legs for real! and yeah, I totally think Matt was like,"Watch this," and cut it just to piss people off. I adore that man, as well as the rest of the guys!

And yes!! Im glad you actually commented on the Monster's University thing! I seriously almost let out a cheer in the theatre when they said his name :/ lol. also, that to funny about the Valary Sanders thing..

DUDE SHUT UP! I JUST watched Monster's Inc and totally fucking hit the roof when I noticed his name too! I was like omg! Also....in real life...I know a girl named Valarie Sanders. She spells it different but....she's getting married to a guy with the last name Sullivan. So she will be Valarie Sullivan bahaha. That totally had me thinking of what if Valary had married Jimmy lmfao!!!! It's such a small world. Now I miss Jimmy but I TOTALLY FEEL YOU ON THIS BLOG.

I mean......someone said that they think Matt cut his hair again because he was tired of all the controversy about his long hair but honestly....I think he did it for the opposite reason. I think he cut it on purpose as a sign to show he doesn't give a fuck what the haters have to say. I mean do you see the infamous Matt Sanders being self conscious about what people say about his hair?

I mean I really don't think so lol. He's M. Fucking Shadows. He could out do everybody and their hair just by his amazing and sexy presence.
