I guess they're qualified in the sense that they're the admins, and therefore make the final decision? They might not have any proper experience but it is up to them, at the end of the day.

See, this is what I mean... I don't think that whoever chooses what's going to be posted and not is doing it properly, fairly, or consistently.

    @ audling
Yes exactly!!! Like really, why the hell is it so hard to get an article published on here?! Thank you!! <3 And its fine, the longer the better :) You too!!

Likewise for personal opinions - a few sentences is okay, or briefly sharing a personal experience, but a blog-styled article is not.
A few sentences? So an article like this would no longer be allowed?

Persuasive articles are (used to be?) allowed and encouraged, most of my articles are persuasive. There is a difference between persuasive expository writing (ie, articles) and a personal blog post. I do however feel like the article section is moderated to not really include anything sexual or potentially vulgar, which I think it pretty lame and restrictive and possibly why androgyny/drag queens was better suited for a blog.

I totally agree with you. I'm not trying to attack Mibba, or any sites like Mibba, but this is a CREATIVE WRITING site, no? I mean, I'm looking directly at the damn site title, yet, whenever I post something, I'm half terrified that it'll be deleted - again - without my permission (which may have been my fault for not responding to their requests fast enough, I don't know, but I lost all that writing after my computer crashed - which, by the way, is why I couldn't respond).

I don't know. I find myself in some weird limbo with this site. Like, there are eleven and twelve year olds who are probably going to figure out a way to read the more gnarlier versions of things, but at the same time, I mean... CREATIVE WRITING. Hello! It says it at the top left!

    Hurumph.

But grrrrrrrrl, I love reading your blogs. And I totally agree with what your saying, and I didn't mean to create another blog in your comments section, ha-ha! I just... I don't know. I got nothin' better to do.

Hope your well, my friend. xx

Exactly... why are we allowed to cuss everywhere but the blog titles? Why are articles the only things that must be reviewed before posting? Idgi. The rules are random as fuck it seems.

    @ Looking at Stars
Even if this is true, how exactly are the admins or whoever qualified to tell me whether my article is "article-like" enough?

You know the most common form of an article is a non-biased fact-sheet basically? If you read any newspaper, chances are there will be different sections for all the 'creative' articles, usually under an opinion/commenter part. There's a magazine, article and blogs here. That's three different types of a very broad scope. If they want to write things that are more laid back and creative, then it would fit under the magazine or blog section.

I just don't understand how it's up to y'all to decide what's "blog-style" and not. It's not realistic in terms of the "real" writing world, honestly.
And to add on to this, they say the blogs are for personal writing, so why do most of them get deleted? Like if I want to call me dad an asshole for not letting me out why is it up to them to delete it for "bashing and public ridicule" lmao like what ever are these rules? Facepalm

Articles on Mibba are very formal and have to be informative. Obviously, we have a different section (blogs) for personal writing. We have two article editors who read over every article before deciding if it should be published, so it's up to them to decide whether or not they feel the work is more of an article or a blog. Any doubts and they ask each other or me.

I disagree that there is no room for creativity or critical thinking - during my time as an article editor I saw plenty of this. It just has to be done formally and appropriately. Likewise for personal opinions - a few sentences is okay, or briefly sharing a personal experience, but a blog-styled article is not.

If you have any questions that you can't find answers to in the [url=Knowledge Base[/url], don't hesitate to ask an article editor or an admin Cute

Articles don't necessarily have to be an objective opinion. Some are, but if you pick up Time or Rolling Stone magazine or any other popular publication, you'll find that pretty much all of the articles have a balance of both personal perspective and factual evidence. Besides, all other sections of the website leave the writer to decide whether what they're posting is actually a "story" or "poem," so why are articles any different?

    Aww thanks!! ❤

LOL yes!!! I finally decided to make our opinion public :P

I know what you mean but I feel like what you are asking is to post a blog. Like the way I see it, articles are for an objective opinion on a subject and if you wanted to put your personality into it, it kinda turns into a blog.
