Unfortunately, I'm turned off to both of those contests since they revolve around smut and other subjects/factors I'm not comfortable writing about. But thanks anyway.

I feel the same way. But I'm looking for interesting contests with twists. Something that isn't pick a picture/song/quote/hipster couple/band couple.

I really like the costumes that used to challenge you to get your creative juices flowing, not to deliver a story specific to the contest creator's taste.

I mean, that's their right, they can do what they want. But there is a severe lack of originality in story contests. Even leaving the fan fiction/original fiction requirements aside.

I actually cannot find a contest. They're all bandfics and I don't even like any of the bands.

Completely agree, I'd suggest my contest if you're be interested in an photo-inspired drabble contest, but I'm afriad the deadline was yesterday.

But there just seems to be an unbelievable amount of R-rated fanfic contests lately! I'm always looking for original drabble contests since large word counts scare me off, especially photo ones, but those seem to be lacking too lately.

I just love contests!

Well for it being your first contest, prizes like that would be a good idea. Maybe as you start doing/making more, you can increase the "value" of the prizes, if you wanna put it like that. :3

Oh excellent! I just dont know what to give as prizes, since they all seem to have them. I was thinking maybe an icon of your choice, that story, plus 3 more in my sig and a rec blog? Whatcha think? I've never done a contest before, so this is big for me. Hahaha

By "supernatural", do you mean like the actual belief in out-of-this-world creatures and rumors, or the popular television show? Because if it's the first one, I would be on that like crazy.

I want to start a writing contest :) original fic, supernatural themed. should i do it? Ive never done a writing contest before
