Some Reasons Why I Remain a Silent Reader on Some Stories - Comments

I tend to write some controversial topics. Like incest. And they'll get readers and subscribers and recs but no comments. That's just frustrating. And part of that is just that I didn't post it on Mibba for the enjoyment of others, I want feedback. I need to know if people think my characters are flat or my plot is overdramatic or something. But when you get nothing, it makes you angry.

You know what's frustrating? I am a perfectly coherent writer with 49 recs and 118 subscribers to one of my original stories and I've received five reviews on the past ten chapters; none of the past two. That is frustrating as hell.

No I'm talking this girl had her character get stabbed in the throat and hit by a bus, she had no broken bones and all they did was sew her neck back together and she was fine by the end of the chapter.

...just putting it out there, People can survive being hit by a bus...but they should include at least three coma chapters. :P Hahaha, but yeah I get this whole list. I usually just write "comments appreciated" down the bottom.

omfg who would think that was even a good idea to get more comments and subscribers. I wish my silent readers would comment but I'm not going to force them too, I understand that some people don't want to comment and thats fine, but it's also a matter of they don't have to, let people do what they want, don't dictate your readers for god sake

For the most part I do comment unless I see two or more of the things listed on that list in the story. I just can't wrap my head around it.

I agree with every single thing on this list. And I HATE being a silent reader when it happens.

I try my hardest to always comment, but sometimes you just need to turn away.
