Plagirism AGAIN, really? - Comments

I know how you feel. Some person, stole my one fic where it was a Vic Fuentes/OMC but the only thing they changed on it was they turned it to a Kellic story.
I just gave up on it and I deleted it, because I didn't feel like getting banned from this site for cussing some person out.

I understand. When Milk got srolen aboht adozen times, I hadto pull it from the internet. It broke my heart, but I had to. I got called a bitch and attacked, but I'm glad I stood my geound.

For the past year I've had the same girl do this to me on four different accounts, two of which she was posing as someone else. It sucks I know. I confronted her about it (don't do this, I didn't know it was against the rules at the time) and she blatantly lied to me and pulled the biggest back pedal I've ever seen with her poor excuses for way our stories were "similar," (even though they were almost word for word or some parts were obviously the same as mine. I have no idea how she didn't get banned ages ago but it finally got felt with recently. Just report it to an admin

I haven't had it happen on my stories, that I know of at least, but I'm aware of someone that got banned for stealing one of my friends stories a while back. It really makes you wonder how desperate for attention these people are that they'd take someone else's work and try to pass it off as their own and not have people who have been reading the original notice.

Wow. That's terrible. I've seen this happen only once about two years ago. People have no respect for anyone other than their own selves. I'm truly sorry to hear about it. I wish there was a better way to prevent this from happening.

Wow. That's crazy. I never knew people actually plagiarized on this site. I hope no one's taken my stuff and I don't know about it....

Exactly. But some people don't always know there are original versions because they either don't know the author at all, or they don't keep up with any stories. But the person who reported it and told me about it had obviously been reading my story so was able to tell. And the fact it was pretty much identical except for the names and the band used was just stupid and asking for trouble. :/ Hell, I've had it stolen and put on a different site and it still got found. It kind of makes me fear for not only my stories, but for everyone else's too. How many of our stories have been stolen and put on other sites without us realising it? >-<

I can understand why you'd be pissed. Like you said it's like someone kidnapping your child. And why would all the people that read your story read a remake?

It's fine, ask away, haha. I got told that she wanted to know what it felt like to be famous, even if it was only for a little while. Most people would think I'm overreacting by getting pissed off about it, but it really does grind my gears to even think about it. I'm not in any way, shape, or form, "famous." It was just my popular, spur of the moment story that she stole.

But I do understand where you're coming from, though. I've had it happen to me once before and it really upset me. It's like someone kidnapping your child and claiming he/she is theirs, not yours, just because they changed a few names. It's so frustrating to put all the hard work into it just to find out someone is so willing to think they can get away with stealing from you. Although I'd rather have had the flattery excuse than the excuse I had. The excuse I had just pissed me off.

I hope everything get's sorted for you, hun. I really don't want it to get to the point where you leave. It wouldn't be fair on you. If anything, the people stealing from you should be the ones made to leave! >-<

It does feel like a part of you has been ripped away and honestly, it's insulting when people use the "it's flattery" as an excuse. It's not flattery, it's insulting. I hope you can find the justice I couldn't.
